Maas Johannas Hell is a name
synonomous with the German Holsteiner Horse. He established
the model of high performance with an emphasis on jumping
. Mr. Hell was responsible for the introduction of French
Anglo-Norman blood including Cor de la Bryere and Alme, which
contributed significantly towards this goal. Calvaro, Cantus,
Ahorn, Athlet, Acord II, Calido, Canturo, E. Montreal are a few of
his exceptional bloodlines and offspring. As Director of the
Riding and Driving School of the Holsteiner Verband from 1971 -
1981 he was considered a horseman and organizer of the highest
caliber. He originated the stallion exhibition at Neumunster
and constructed the marketing center in
Elmshorn Germany during his tenure with the Holsteiner
Federation. |

Calvaro (Olympic Silver Medalist) Calido I (sire of 19 approved
sons), Olympian Canturo with Bernardo Alves, Paul Schockemoele's
white stallion Come On (with a 100 day dressage score of 142) and
Cascavelle (sire of 155 offspring in sport). Acord II, by Ahorn Z,
is acknowledged as one of the most influential modern Holsteiner
sires with 38 approved sons, 38 State Premium mares, and 430
offspring in sport and is also the sire of Acorado, Ars Vivendi,
and Ariadus. Ahorn Z (339 offspring in sport) is also the sire of
Alasca, who has sired 6 approved sons and has 217 offspring in
sport. Athlet Z has sired Acobat II (112 offspring in sport) and
Athletico (182 offspring in sport) and has 368 offspring in sport
with winnings of over €1.2 million in winnings. |
